Welcome to the
Office of Liturgy & Music
Church of The Resurrection

God has given us the glorious gift of music.  He has given us voices to sing, and it is our duty and pleasure to use our God given talents for HIS praise.  This is a witness of the gospel through the power of Music Ministry.  The music program at Resurrection Parish includes choirs for children, youth, and adults.  These choirs cover all ages from grade 2 through adult.  We are conscious of the fact that for centuries Christianity has been a singing faith.  At Resurrection we lift our voices to express that faith and to follow the biblical command to "Come into HIS presence with singing."  (Psalm 100:2)

Within our choirs we desire to:

  • Sing the praises of our Wonderful Lord;

  • Worship through song and lead the congregation in hymn singing;

  • Provide choral training in musical literacy, sensitivity, appreciation and vocal development;

  • Present a broad range of repertoire to meet the spiritual needs and musical tastes of all who worship;

  • build friendships and a sense of working together on the part of all ministers.

This site will also give you information on how to plan for a funeral or wedding celebration.  The information on these pages has been chosen carefully to give you all the liturgical catechesis you need to understand how a Catholic wedding and funeral should be planned.  This is information is not made up by the music director or pastor but from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops who set the policy and liturgy for ALL Catholic churches in the country.  It is the duty duty of the priests and lay ministers such as the director of liturgy and music to make sure these policies are upheld.

God Bless you,

Mr. Joseph W. Viserta

Director of Music/Cantor/Organist
